jim_welchJim Welch’s professional activities have focussed increasingly on social, managerial and governance (i.e. ‘people’) aspects, during a career in development in the UK and internationally.  In team and partnership working and multi-party decision making, his specialist ‘relationship’ skills complement the strong practical ‘task focus’ natural to his early work in public infrastructure development.  He facilitates Action-Learning, evaluative self-assessment, strategic planning and change management for organisations and communities through constructive engagement of diverse stakeholders, using participatory methods and conflict-transformation.  His own professional development draws strength from his involvement through the project cycle - in planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation - and the dissemination of learning.
